A clear view of website cookies and storage

Cookies are small data files set by a website and retained by a browser. Session storage, local storage and other browser mechanisms can serve related purposes. They may help remember a signed-in session, protect a form against forgery, restore a preference or maintain technical reliability.

The precise name and expiration of a cookie can depend on the browser, environment and enabled sign-in mechanism. Your browser developer tools provide the actual cookies and expiration dates set for your session.

SantaPool uses essential session and request-integrity mechanisms where required to authenticate members, prevent unauthorized requests, maintain session continuity and deliver the feature a visitor has requested. These mechanisms may include session identifiers and anti-forgery tokens.

Disabling necessary cookies can break registration, sign-in, invitations or account management. They are not used merely because an advertising partner wants to recognize your browser.

Where a product setting allows it, browser storage can remember appearance, accessibility or notification choices. Such storage is evaluated according to its purpose and applicable consent rules.

Analytics, personalization, advertising pixels or similar nonessential tracking may be introduced in the future. Before any such integration is enabled, we will identify its purpose, explain relevant providers and durations and obtain consent where legally required. A future possibility described here does not mean a tracking partner is currently operating on the site.

The SantaPool mobile app may keep an authentication token, device push token, local preferences or temporary technical information needed for the features you use. Device platforms may separately provide diagnostic, security or app-store services under their own policies.

Camera, photos, contacts and notification permissions are controlled through your device permission prompts or settings and should only be requested for relevant functions. This Cookie Policy is not a substitute for those permission notices.

A future embedded video, payment checkout, analytics tool or third-party login may place cookies or use its own browser storage. We will identify material integrations and their separate privacy notices when they become active and apply any necessary consent mechanism.

Following an external retailer or provider link takes you to a website whose cookies are controlled by that provider, not by SantaPool.

You can inspect, block or delete website cookies through your browser settings. Where consent is required for optional technologies, you must have a meaningful opportunity to decline or withdraw that consent. Withdrawing optional consent should not disable necessary account functionality.

Browser-level blocking can affect how the service works. Clearing session cookies may sign you out. For privacy requests involving personal information held on our servers, use the account deletion and data-rights process rather than relying on cookie deletion alone.

Session cookies generally expire when a session ends or the configured lifetime is reached. Persistent settings may remain until changed, cleared or expired. We do not publish one fixed duration that inaccurately claims to cover every browser and deployment.

Appropriate security settings for authentication cookies should include restrictions suited to their function, such as secure transport and same-site protections where supported. Cookies alone do not grant permission to view private draw assignments.
